What we support

Six kinds of support. One trusted team.

We focus on the everyday supports that make the biggest difference — funded under six NDIS registration groups.

How it works

Up and running in three easy steps

1

Tell us about you

Create your free profile in minutes — the supports you're after, your interests, and what a great match looks like for you.

2

Choose your people

Browse verified profiles, post a job, or let us shortlist. Message and meet before you ever book a shift.

3

Book, relax, repeat

Book online or in the app. We take care of payroll, invoicing, super, insurance and NDIS claiming — automatically.

Fair & transparent

One honest rate. Nothing hidden.

Most platforms bury their numbers. We publish everything — what you pay (the standard NDIS rate), what your worker takes home, and exactly where the rest goes.

  • Priced at the NDIS price limits — never above them, so support is 100% claimable from your plan with no gap fees, however it's managed.
  • Workers keep more — around 72% of every hour goes to your worker, including super.
  • $0 to join, no subscriptions — you only ever pay for support you book.

Questions, answered

Six kinds of support, built around you

We deliberately focus on the everyday supports that make the biggest difference — delivered by workers you choose, funded under six NDIS registration groups.

Not sure which category fits?

You don't need to know your line items by heart — that's our job. Tell us what a great week looks like for you, and we'll map it to the right supports in your plan and confirm everything in writing before your first booking.

Talk it through with us
0102 · Assist Access/Maintain Employ

Support to find a job — and keep loving it

Meaningful work changes everything. Our workers back you through every step: exploring what you want to do, landing the role, and building the skills and routines to thrive in it.

What this support can include

  • Working out your strengths, interests and job goals
  • Writing résumés, applications and practising interviews
  • Travel training for your commute
  • On-the-job support while you settle in and learn tasks
  • Building workplace routines, timekeeping and stamina
  • Support to communicate with your employer about adjustments
  • Keeping things on track when work gets wobbly
  • Support in ADEs, open employment or self-employment

What a typical shift looks like

Tuesday, 8:30am: your worker meets you at home, runs through the morning checklist, travels with you to work, and stays for the first two hours while you open up the café — prompting where needed, stepping back where not. Over the term, their support fades as your independence grows. That's the goal.

0107 · Assist-Personal Activities

Personal care, on your terms

The most personal support deserves the most trust. Choose workers you're comfortable with, brief them your way, and keep the same familiar faces — morning, evening or overnight.

What this support can include

  • Showering, bathing and personal hygiene
  • Dressing, grooming and getting ready for the day
  • Support at mealtimes, eating and drinking
  • Day-to-day medication management and reminders
  • Toileting and continence support
  • Transfers and mobility around your home
  • Morning and evening routines
  • Overnight support — active or sleepover

Higher-intensity needs?

We currently support standard-intensity personal care. If you need complex supports (like PEG feeding or complex bowel care under registration group 0104), talk to us — we'll help you plan the right mix and connect you with specialist providers where needed.

0108 · Assist-Travel/Transport

Wherever you're going, we'll get you there

Appointments, work, uni, the shops, the game. Ride with a checked and insured worker — or learn to make the trip independently, with support that fades as your confidence grows.

What this support can include

  • Transport to and from appointments, therapy and school or work
  • Workers who drive their own insured vehicle
  • Support in your vehicle, taxis or rideshare
  • Public transport travel training — routes, Opal, timetables
  • Accompanied travel to events, family and community activities
  • Errand runs — shopping, pharmacy, post office
  • Wheelchair-accessible planning and door-to-door support
  • Building confidence for independent travel over time

Extra checks for driving

Workers who transport clients hold a current Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check, a valid licence, registration and comprehensive insurance — verified before their profile shows the "drives" badge.

0115/0138 · Daily Tasks/Shared Living

Everyday skills for a more independent life

Whether you live on your own, with family or in a shared home, our workers help you build the daily living skills that add up to real independence — at your pace, in your space.

What this support can include

  • Planning and cooking meals together
  • Budgeting, bills and shopping lists
  • Personal admin — appointments, forms, phone calls
  • Morning and evening routines in shared living settings
  • Developing skills to live more independently
  • Support alongside housemates in group homes
  • Preparing for a move to more independent housing
  • Short-term extra support after illness, change or transition

Skills that stick

Our workers coach, not take over. Every plan starts with the skills you want — from mastering the washing machine to hosting your first dinner party — and tracks the wins along the way. Families and housemates can be part of the plan too.

0120 · Household Tasks

A home that works for you

When the housework piles up, everything feels harder. Get reliable help with cleaning, laundry and meals from workers who do it properly — and do it your way.

What this support can include

  • General house cleaning — kitchens, bathrooms, floors
  • Laundry, ironing and changing bed linen
  • Dishes and tidying living spaces
  • Meal preparation and batch cooking
  • Essential shopping and unpacking
  • Rubbish, recycling and light outdoor tidy-ups
  • Decluttering and organising, one room at a time
  • Doing it with you or for you — your choice

Same person, every time

No revolving door of strangers with mops. Book the same worker on a repeating schedule so they learn exactly how you like things — down to which shelf the mugs live on.

0125 · Participate Community

Your community, wide open

Sport, music, mates, faith, volunteering, a swim at the local pool — whatever connection looks like for you, our workers help you get out there and make it a regular thing.

What this support can include

  • Getting to and taking part in social and recreational activities
  • Sport, gym, swimming and adaptive programs
  • Classes, courses, library and men's shed
  • Faith and cultural community involvement
  • Catching up with friends and family
  • Concerts, footy, markets and day trips
  • Volunteering and community groups
  • Building social confidence and new friendships

Matched on what you love

Our matching starts with interests, not availability. Mad about anime, AFL, fishing or K-pop? Filter workers by shared interests so support time feels like time with a mate — because the best support usually does.

How BookIt works

The control of hiring your own team, without the paperwork, risk or admin. Here's the full journey — from signing up to your hundredth booking.

  • Family members or nominees can set up and help manage it
2

  • Browse verified profiles by suburb, service and shared interests
  • Post a job and let interested workers come to you

3

Book and manage everything online

One place for your whole support life.

  • Book one-off or repeating shifts in seconds
  • Approve hours with a tap after each shift
  • Payroll, super, insurance and NDIS claiming — automatic
  • Statements that make plan reviews painless
Works with every plan

However your plan is managed, you're covered

  • Self-managed — we invoice you (or claim on your behalf), with statements ready for your records.
  • Plan-managed — we invoice your plan manager directly after you approve each shift.
  • NDIA-managed — as a registered provider we claim through the NDIA portal, so agency-managed participants aren't locked out like they are on unregistered platforms.
  • Private / no NDIS — same workers, same rates, simple card payment.

What we take off your plate

  • Employment contracts, payroll, PAYG and super
  • Workers' compensation and public liability insurance
  • Worker screening, verification and training records
  • Invoicing, claiming and payment chasing
  • Incident management and 24/7 escalation
  • Finding cover when your regular worker is away

Hourly rates (2+ hour shifts)

Standard support rates — all six services · billed at the NDIS Pricing Arrangements 2026–27 price limits (from 1 July 2026)
When You pay = NDIS price limit Worker earns incl. super Worker's share

A 2-hour booking minimum applies, in line with SCHADS minimum-engagement rules — the exact price is always shown before you confirm. Sleepovers are billed at the NDIS night-time sleepover rate of $311.79 per night (includes up to 2 hours of active support; extra active hours at the applicable hourly rate). House-cleaning-only bookings are billed at $60.10/hr — the dedicated Household Tasks price limit. Remote and very remote loadings follow the NDIS Pricing Arrangements. Support services are GST-free.

Where your money goes

Every dollar, accounted for

Of your $73.58 weekday hour:

  • $53.25 (72%) — your worker's pay and super, above the SCHADS Award.
  • $10.60 — insurances, workers' comp, screening, training and compliance.
  • $9.73 — the platform, our support team, payroll and claiming.

Compare that with traditional agencies, where workers often see barely 55–60% of what you're charged.

Cancellations, plainly

  • More than 2 clear business days' notice: free, always.
  • Short notice: the shift may be charged, in line with the NDIS Pricing Arrangements — and your worker is still paid.
  • We cancel on you? Never charged, and we'll help find cover fast.

What's always included

  • All insurances for every booked shift
  • Verification, screening and training of workers
  • Automatic invoicing and NDIS claiming
  • Our support team, 7 days
  • 24/7 incident line

Getting started

From application to first shift

1

Apply online

15 minutes: your experience, interests, availability and the services you want to offer. Upload documents as you go — we verify them within 72 hours.

2

Interview & orientation

A friendly video interview, reference checks, then paid online orientation covering safeguarding, boundaries and great support practice.

3

Go live & get booked

Your profile goes live to clients nearby. Apply for posted jobs, accept meet-and-greets, and build your regular roster.

Safety isn't a feature. It's the foundation.

Everything on BookIt is built to the NDIS Practice Standards — from how we screen workers to how we respond at 3am when something isn't right.

Screened before they start

NDIS Worker Screening Check, 100 points of ID, work rights, references, and a live video interview with our onboarding team. Drivers add a police check and insurance; anyone supporting under-18s holds a WWCC.

Employees, fully insured

Workers are our employees on every shift — covered by workers' compensation, public liability and professional indemnity insurance. No gaps, no grey areas, no risk sitting with you.

Trained, and kept trained

Paid orientation covering safeguarding, boundaries, privacy and person-centred practice — plus ongoing modules (manual handling, mealtime safety, positive behaviour basics) tracked on every profile.

24/7 incident support

A real person answers, any hour. Incidents are logged, managed and reported in line with the NDIS Commission's rules — and we stay with you until it's resolved.

Safe ways to speak up

Easy feedback and complaints channels — in the app, by phone, or anonymously. Advocates welcome. Complaints never affect your access to support.

Your privacy, protected

Data encrypted and stored in Australia. You control what's visible on your profile, and we never sell your information. Fully compliant with the Privacy Act and NDIS Practice Standards.

Extra safeguards if you live alone

When one worker regularly supports someone who lives alone, we follow additional safeguards set by the NDIS Commission — and we think they're just good practice. Before support starts we assess any risk factors with you and put a written service agreement in place. While support runs, a supervisor visits your home at an agreed frequency, and someone other than your worker checks in regularly to make sure you're happy with the type, quality and frequency of your support. Your feedback goes straight to our senior team.

Accessibility

Our accessibility commitments

Accessibility isn't an add-on for us — most of our community relies on it. This website is built to WCAG 2.2 AA and comes with tools to make it work your way.

  • Adjust it yourself — text size up to 150%, high contrast, an easier-to-read font, reduced motion and read-aloud, all in the Accessibility options panel at the top of every page.
  • Built-in good practice — full keyboard navigation, visible focus, skip links, screen-reader labels, plain language and strong colour contrast throughout.
  • Other formats on request — large print, Easy Read or translated versions of any of our documents. Just ask, and we'll arrange interpreters (including Auslan) for any conversation.
  • Tell us when we miss — accessibility feedback goes straight to the top of our fix list.

Try it now

Open Accessibility options in the bar at the very top of this page to set text size, contrast, font, motion and read-aloud. Your choices apply across the whole site and are remembered on your device.

Support should feel like it's on your side

BookIt was started by people who'd lived both sides of the roster — participants tired of strangers at the door, and workers tired of being treated like line items.

Our story

Built from lived experience

We watched brilliant, funny, capable people reduced to "shifts to fill". We watched great workers burn out as contractors with no super, no cover and no say. And we watched families spend their evenings chasing invoices instead of living their lives.

So we built the platform we wished existed: one where participants choose their people, workers are employed properly, and the boring-but-critical stuff — screening, insurance, payroll, claiming — just happens in the background.

We deliberately do six things, not sixty. Employment support, personal care, transport, daily living, household tasks and community participation — the everyday supports that add up to an ordinary, extraordinary life. We'd rather be the best in the country at those than average at everything.

What we believe

  • Choice and control are non-negotiable. You pick your people, full stop.
  • Good support is a relationship, not a transaction.
  • Workers deserve real jobs — fair pay, super, insurance, respect.
  • Transparency builds trust. Our prices, pay and policies are public.
  • Accessibility is table stakes — in our supports and in our software.

Who we serve

NDIS participants of every age and plan type, their families and nominees, support coordinators building reliable teams — and the support workers who make it all real.

The company behind BookIt
